Photography Guidelines

Visitors are welcome to:

• Use cameras and mobile devices to take pictures for personal use
  
  
• Post images to social media 

Visitors may not:

• Hire a photographer to shoot portrait-style photography during normal operating hours 
  
  
• Limit accessibility to galleries, exhibitions, entrances/exits, doorways, and high traffic areas
  
  
• Touch any of the signs or objects in the collection
  
  
• Sell or publish images taken at the ASM.
  
  
• Use selfie sticks, stabilization devices such as tripods and monopods, and other large or specialty photographic equipment are prohibited in the galleries (unless approved and accompanied by museum staff)

**VISITOR PHOTOGRAPHY IS PERMITTED FOR PERSONAL, NONCOMMERCIAL USE ONLY**

ASM staff have the authority of approach and verify the intent of photography and to enforce the photography policy. If any individual/group does not comply with the above conditions, the ASM reserves the right to deny permission to photograph and may request the individual/group leave the premises and forfeit their admission fee.
